bone《Bone》系列漫画自1991年开始发行，2004年完结，后由美国学乐儿童教育集团Scholastic发行集结版的绘本小说，广受欢迎迄今销售量已超过百万。
据“hollywood reporter”报道，华纳兄弟公司已获得美国畅销热门漫画《Bone》的电影拍摄权，公司前任制片副总裁丹·林将负责这部备受期待的新片制作工作。这部由杰夫·史密斯（Jeff Smith）创作的漫画红遍全球，不仅拥有众多忠实的漫画迷，同名改编的游戏也是众多玩家的最爱，此次将要搬上大银幕也是备受瞩目。
漫画的主角是三个来自Bone家族的堂兄妹，乖乖型的Fone Bone、一切冒险计划的领头人Phoney Bone、还有非常招人喜爱的Smile Bone。他们长得类似人类，但却身材极其矮小，个个光头并有长长的鼻子，形象卡通，惹人喜爱。漫画的故事就是关于这三个小小人的冒险经历的，他们三个离开了自己的家乡，在神秘山谷走散，又被其它生物追逐。最终，他们被名叫Thorn的女孩和她的祖母所接纳，当时刚刚安定下来的生活并不是风平浪静，这三兄妹很快发现这个神秘山谷正被一个叫蝗虫（the Lord of the Locusts）的邪恶势力所威胁控制，他们的冒险还在继续。
事实上，在此之前Nickelodeon 电影公司曾试图拍摄《Bone》的动画版，但是未能成功，部分原因是由于作者杰夫·史密斯极力反对当时制作的动画版将受众定位仅仅限定在儿童身上，并且在影片中插入流行歌曲的行为。这次，漫画作者杰夫·史密斯将会担任《Bone》的制片人。
杰夫·史密斯多次凭借自己纯熟的画风获得奖项，他的漫画风格深受众多经典漫画的影响，像是Walt Kelly的《弹簧单高跷》（Pogo），还有史努比之父Charles Schultz和美国漫画教父Will Eisner都对杰夫·史密斯的绘画风格产生深远的影响。
但是，华纳公司目前还没有决定《Bone》的具体拍摄形式，不久后的制片会议将会进一步确定影片是采取真人版还是动画版的形式。
