男， 1970 年生， 1997 年毕业于西南农业大学并获理学博士学位。现任西南大学教授、博士研究生导师，植物保护学院院长、昆虫学及害虫控制工程重庆市重点实验室主任、国际 Systematic and Applied Acarology 刊物、国内《昆虫知识》《植物保护》《中国南方果树》编委、中国粮油学会常务工作委员及储藏分会常务理事兼害虫防治学科组组长、重庆市植物保护学会副理事长。先后在英国伦敦大学皇家学院和美国佛罗里达大学学习深造，并多次赴泰国和日本等国进行访问或合作研究。主要从事昆虫分子生态学、昆虫分子毒理学、储藏物昆虫学、入侵生物学、有害生物综合治理等领域的研究与教学工作，特别是在昆虫适应环境胁迫的分子生态学研究方面具有较深的造诣。先后主持国家自然科学基金项目、国家重点基础研究（ 973 ）项目子专题、霍英东优秀青年教师科研基金、教育部科学技术研究重点项目、教育部博士点基金、教育部留学回国人员科研启动基金、人事部留学回国人员择优资助项目、国家外国专家局农业引智成果示范推广项目、市科委科技攻关等项目等 20 余项。
在国际上首次报道了储藏物害虫书虱对气调处理产生抗性的基因潜力，并在实验室选育出了数个抗性品系，阐明了抗性发生发展的生理生化机理。应用比较毒理学的研究方法，系统研究了几种常见书虱对不同类型杀虫剂的敏感性差异，并就差异的生化机理进行了探讨，克隆了嗜卷书虱乙酰胆碱酯酶的基因片段。研究了书虱体内共生微生物 Wolbachia 对书虱的生殖调控作用，有望开辟出储藏物害虫生物防治的新途径。系统研究了朱砂叶螨适应酸雨胁迫的分子生态学激励，并就不同品系的适合度进行了评估，研究结果对于酸雨污染区害螨综合治理具有极大的参考价值。初步研究了生态系统对紫茎泽兰入侵的抵御机制。发表论著100 余篇， 22 篇为 SCI 收录，获省部级科技进步一等奖 1 项， 2001 和 2002 年先后获中国植物保护学会首届、中国昆虫学会第三届青年科技奖， 2002 年入选重庆市首批优秀青年骨干教师培养计划并于 2004 年获重庆市首批优秀青年骨干教师称号。 2004 年评为全国优秀教师，同年入选 “ 教育部新世纪优秀青年教师支持计划 ”，2005年遴选为重庆市“巴渝学者”特聘教授 。
教学情况
主讲博士研究生的《专题讨论》、硕士研究生的《昆虫生理学》、《昆虫生物化学》以及本科生的《植保试验及数理统计》、《普通昆虫学》、《专业外语》。其中《植保试验及数理统计》为西南农业大学首门双语教学课程。 2003 年获西南农业大学青年教师教学观摩评比一等奖， 2004 年获西南农业大学教学督导组推荐奖，《普通昆虫学》课程遴选为重庆市精品课程。
