贺尚红，男,1965出生,湖南宁乡人,分别于1986年7月和1989年1月北京航空航天大学流体控制与操纵专业毕业获学士和硕士学位，1998年8月晋升为副教授, 2002年8月晋升为教授。1999年考入中南工业大学攻读博士学位, 师从钟掘院士,2003年6月获工学博士学位。2003年5月进入三一重工股份有限公司博士后工作站，2005年2月出站。
2000年以来主持国家863重大专项一项，中国博士后基金项目1项，湖南省自然科学基金项目2项，省教育厅重点项目及青年基金项目各1项。参与国家自然科学基金重点项目1项，国家863面上项目1项，省部级项目3项,大型横向项目2项。
在《机械工程学报》、《中国机械工程》等重要期刊及国际学术会议以第一作者发表论文20多篇，其中SCI、EI、ISTP收录10篇，1篇获湖南省优秀学术论文一等奖，参编公开出版的专业书籍1部。
