杰夫·戈德布拉姆(Jeff Goldblum)，原名杰弗里·林恩·戈德布拉姆，1952年10月22日生于宾西法尼亚州匹兹堡市，17岁高中毕业后，搬到纽约去住，开始舞台表演。他的表演风格独特，因为害怕忘记台词，在参加伍迪·艾伦(Woody Allen)导演的《安妮-霍尔》(Annie Hall)一片拍摄时，给观众的感觉是每次出场好象只有一句台词。1978年，戈德布拉姆在翻拍的科幻恐怖片《人体入侵者》(Invasion of the Body Snatchers)中再次出演角色，几年后，高调出演《山水又相逢》(The Big Chill)。
戈德布拉姆性格诡异，1984年参加拍摄的《天生爱神》(The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension)是一部诡异电影，正好符合他的性格，所以他的演技发挥得淋漓尽致，此片后来成为80年代诡异电影的经典之作。在翻拍片《苍蝇》 (The Fly)一片中所扮演的角色，更是让戈德布拉姆取得了突破。戈德布拉姆还和前妻吉娜·戴维斯合拍了《乌龙记者》(Transylvania 6-5000)(1985)、《外星奇缘》(Earth Girls Are Easy)(1988)等影片。
也许有人想象不到，戈德布拉姆还参加了90年代以下几部电影大作的拍摄：史蒂芬·斯皮尔伯格执导的恐龙冒险片《侏罗纪公园》(Jurassic Park)，《失落的世界：侏罗纪公园续集》(The Lost World: Jurassic Park)(1997)，描述外星人入侵地球的《独立日》(Independence Day)等。戈德布拉姆在这些影片中扮演的都是智能型人物。
戈德布拉姆最近所演的电影，包括受到影评界喝彩的《伊格比的堕落》(Igby Goes Down)(2002))和《海海人生(又译水中生活)》(The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou)(2004)等。
