音乐术语B-Side这一称谓源自胶木唱片时代，当时唱片公司发放给电台的唱片称之为A-Side，A-Side为打榜歌曲。而胶木唱片还有一个面(B-Side)，不用白不用，于是就刻上另一首不太重要的作品。进入CD时代后，Single这种唱片模式被保留了下来，CD唱片只有一个面，但在Single唱片之中仍收录了一首至几首不重要的作品，这类作品沿用了旧时代的称谓，称为B-Side。
艾薇儿·拉维尼的一张非正式音乐CD这张B-SIDE收录的大概是Avril尚未正式出名的一些没有被正式发行的创作，当然其间也包含了一些日后在专集中出现的单曲例如things i‘llnever see以及american wedding的OST里面出现的那首i don’t give adamn，稍有些不同的是这张里面的idon‘t giveadamn可以说是一个dirty版本，副歌里面出现了shit这个不雅的词汇。这张B-SIDE里面还有一首叫做letgo的歌词，它的名字个AL的处女碟的名字相同，但是这首歌却并没有出现在那张碟中，这个问题很值得推敲一下。专集中其他的歌曲都是AL的早期的风格，也就是说接近letgo那种青春的张扬，所以对于喜欢早期AL的fans来说，这张B-SIDE还是很具有收藏价值的。
