骷髅杰克（Jack Skellington）是万圣节城（Halloween Town）的南瓜之王（Pumpkin King），是他的创意让每年的万圣节都不同，而且越来越刺激…… 但是他的内心却觉得空虚，他不满于现状，厌倦了人们的尖叫。有一天他偶然的进入圣诞节城（Christmas Town），在那里，他看到了激动人心的一切，并且带了很多东西回来研究。终于，他决定用他的创意来给大家带来一个全新的圣诞节，他让 Lock, Shock 和 Barrel 绑架了圣诞老人，而他万万没有想到他的努力却没有热圣诞节带来欢乐，相反，他吓到了人类。最後他终于发现莎莉，这个为他制作圣诞节服装的女孩才是最在乎他的人……

你知道吗《圣诞夜惊魂》的制作公司（也是《飞天巨桃历险记》的制作公司）名字是 Skellington Productions, Inc.，就是来自骷髅杰克的名字。
在1988年 Tim Burton 的一部电影 Beetle Juice 中，骷髅杰克得形象就已经出现了。
骷髅杰克的宠物是一个叫做零零（Zero）的小狗，是杰克得以让零零复活。
骷髅杰克从来没有叫对过圣诞老人，圣诞老人英文名称是 Santa Claus ，而他却叫成了 Sandy Claws （中文翻译成生蛋老人，呵呵）。
骷髅杰克实际上已经死了，他甚至可以自己用手拿起自己的脑袋，而脑袋同时还可以思考和说话！
在《圣诞夜惊魂》的制作中，动用了超过400个的骷髅杰克头，每一个头都有一个不同的面部表情。
骷髅杰克还出现在《飞天巨桃历险记》（1996）的水下场景中过，角色是一个骷髅船长。
骷髅杰克的东西从2002年左右开始在日本流行，传入亚太区其他国家地区，本来《圣诞夜惊魂》在国内基本无人知晓，是骷髅杰克的周边消费品让这个电影慢慢火了起来，也得以让国内影迷更了解 Tim Burton 这个电影奇才！
