最初是百老汇的歌舞女伶。30年代主演了好几部双本电影短片。1941年主演百老汇音乐剧《最佳足球前锋》，1943年此剧改编为同名电影。仍由她演同一角色。50年代改演情节片，仍饰演情侣角色，常演事业上雄飞得志丈夫的忠贞妻子。然而，1955年又改弦易辙，演出令人胆寒的角色，在若塞．费雷尔执导的《尖叫》中扮演一名歹毒的淫妇，随后息影。60年代起又在电视，舞台和夜总会露面，偶尔也参加拍片。
