浙江省余姚市实验学校是华师大教科院实验学校，创办于1999年，是一所九年一贯寄宿制民办学校。2000年被批准为全国少儿计算机应用技术证书培训与考试基地、浙江省剑桥少儿英语培训与考试基地、全国写字教学实验学校。2001年被批准为国家基础教育实验中心外语教学研究中心实验学校、全国围棋育苗基地。
学校现有69个班级，3000名学生，380名教职工，其中有专任教师180名。有宁波市首批名校长1名，宁波市骨干教师2名，余姚市学科带头人11名，中青年骨干教师81名。有中学高级教师28人。高学历教师达97.2％，具有研究生学力教师达74名，平均年龄32.5岁。
学校占地130亩，建筑面积6.5万m2，总投资达1.2亿元。建有计算机房、语音室、电子阅览室、电子备课室等96个多媒体教室，计算机700余台、上网接口500余个；8000m2的三层膳厅、4000m2的双层体育馆、400m塑胶运动场和拥有30余架钢琴的钢琴馆等全市一流的教育教学设施。图书馆藏书纸质图书10万册，电子图书10万册。
学校继承和发扬“艰苦创业、勇于拼搏、善于创新、报效国家”的优良传统，确立了“质量是根本、效益是标准”的办学理念和“高质量、高效益、有特色、示范性”的奋斗目标，积极倡导“勤奋博学、自主创新”的校风，实行准军事化管理，开放自主式教育，培养学生“人格健全，学业优良”。2002年首届毕业生41.7％升入省一级重点中学。2003年、2004年和2005年中考获得“四连冠”，有4名学生分获余姚市中考总分第一名、文化科总分第一名。普通高中升学率90%以上，省一级重点中学升学率遥居全市之首。各级各类竞赛成绩优异，学校机器人兴趣小组代表中国参加泰国举行的2005年WRO国际奥林匹克机器人竞赛，捧回铜牌。学校坚持教育创新，推进素质教育，在办学理念、培养目标、管理模式、课程设置、教育教学方法等方面，都进行了具有开拓性的探索，成绩显著。学校已经被评为全国中小学思想道德建设活动先进学校、省九年一贯制示范学校、宁波市文明单位、宁波市现代教育技术示范学校、宁波市教育科研先进集体、宁波市治安安全单位等先进单位。学校还先后与澳大利亚、瑞士、美国等国家院校和组织建立友好合作关系，与上海市位育中学、七宝中学、浦东福山路外国语学校、杭州安吉路实验学校等国内名校合作办学。

Zhejiang Yuyao Experimental School is a modern, private boarding school affiliated to the Education Department of ECNU (East China Normal University).
The school is located on Tanjialing West Road in Yuyao City, in the same region as the famous Hemudu Historical Site, situated on the Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway and the Xiaoshan-Ningbo Railway.The school has a quiet environment and is conveniently located for transportation.It covers 130 mu and its total architectural area is 65 thousand square metres.The whole investment has exceeded 120 million yuan.It has first-class teaching facilities including 96 Multimedia Rooms, Computer Rooms, Language Labs, Internet Rooms and CAI Rooms etc.There are also over 700 computers and 500 computer interfaces.It has a three-floored dining hall, a double-floored gymnasium, a piano hall (30 pianos), 400-meter running track and a sports field.
At present , the school has 69 classes, with 3,400 students and teachers.
We employ excellent teachers and collaborate with other well-known schools.We cooperate with the Education Department of ECNU (a very famous university in China), Shanghai Weiyu High School Qibao High School(key schools of Shanghai), Shanghai Pudong Fushan International Primary School, Hangzhou Anji Road Experiment School and also schools in Australia, and Switzerland, etc, we are in cooperation with more than ten different schools. There are 185 professional teachers. Ninety-five of them are core young to middle-aged teachers of Yuyao city. Among them, one Famous Headmaster of Ningbo, two core teachers of Ningbo city, and eleven leading teachers in their subjects in Yuyao. We also have two special high-rank teachers, and 2 specialist foreign teachers. Over 59.3% of the teachers have high or middle qualifications 97.2% of the teachers have high-grade qualifications. 41 per cent teachers are qualified graduates.
Since its establishment in 1999, the school insists on educational innovation in the following fields, teaching tenets, modes, aims, courses, education and teaching methods etc.The school aims at cultivating the students with a good creative sense, character, and modern skills. It carries out standard-militarized management and open self-running development education .It has been effective since the school laid the foundation of Chinese, mathematics, stressed English and computer science.
Since the first high school entrance examination in 2002, we have taken the first place in the total average score, the total outstanding score rate,the rate of the students qualifying for high school, and the rate of a first-class key school entries in Zhejiang Province among all the schools in Yuyao.
In December 2004 the school successfully hosted and organized the Second Annual China School Table-tennis Tournament. The school has been the National Foreign Language Education Experiment Center, an Experimental Centre of Calligraphy, and a Seeding Base of Wei-qi. We have been awarded the title of ‘National Advanced School of Students’Moral Activities,We have been recognized as a model school of ZheJiang province for compulsory education.We have also gained the honorary titles such as Ningbo model unit,Ningbo model school, model school with modern equipments, National defence education model unit,education and research model unit,sanitation model unit,safe pubic order model unit.
学校教育教学管理特色
英语领先：从小学起始年级开始，继续实施九年一贯英语教学，到初中毕业，使50%以上的学生英语水平明显高于同类学校学生，尤其是口语水平更具优势。小学1-3年级英语课实施小班教学，每班30余人，该校作为省“剑桥少儿英语培训考试中心”之一和聘有3名外籍教师的优势，英语特色明显。
电脑超前：加强了计算机应用能力培养，绝大部分学生通过国家少儿计算机等级考试，能熟练上网，能获取、分析、运用网上知识。
特长有奖：招收学科类、艺术类、体育类特长生，经学校审核确定，均作一次性奖励。（详见《余姚市实验学校优秀新生特长生奖励规定》）。
回报社会：办学前四年，每年均招收家境一般的6-15名初中“学科特长生”，2004年招收了一个教学班。其中前40名收费标准为现行公办学校收费标准，其余12名学生每年减免学费5000元。成绩特别优秀的学生每年可获得奖学金100元—5000元，以上优惠及奖项，不兼得，以高计奖。
