性状描述：沸点305℃，189-190℃（2.79kPa），相对密度1.243（20℃）。
生产方法：苯与四氯化碳缩合（弗-克反应）而得。将三氯化铝和2/3量的无水四氯化碳加入反应罐中，冷至10-15℃，加入1/12量的苯进行反应，继续冷至5-10℃，滴加余下的四氯化碳和苯的混合液，加毕，于10℃反应3h。
用途：医药中间体。
