Dominic在格林威治出生长大，母亲Julie是一位幼儿园老师，2000年从LAMDA 伦敦音乐艺术学院（London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art）毕业。
他现在同朋友James Corden（History Boys中的Timms）一起住在伦敦南部，在同长达12年的女友Joanna Carolan分手后， 正与《妈妈咪呀》的合作演员Amanda Seyfried交往。
