2003年夏，瑞典吉他速弹大师Henrik Flyman (Lacrimosa，前Wuthering Heights，Moahni Moahna，Zool)于哥本哈根创立了Evil Masquerade。有如其名，Evil Masquerade最初是以剧场、音乐剧等元素为基础。第一张专辑《Welcome to the Show》于2004年发行，当时成员为：Henrik Flyman (结他/键盘/词曲创作) 、Henrik Brockmann(主音，前Royal Hunt)、Dennis Buhl (鼓手，现于Hatesphere)、以及Kasper Gram(低音电吉他)。专辑推出不久，就已获得国际注视、并登上日本唱片销售榜第八名。
一年后、第二张专辑《Theatrical Madness》面世。
不久，乐队成员亦有所变动：新主音Apollo Papathanasio和低音吉他手Thor Jappese加入及取代旧成员，并与Flyman及Buhl录制第三张专辑：《Third Act》。2006年此专辑于欧、亚两洲发行；翌年《Third Act》于美国这个更为广大的市场正式发行、使乐队成就更上一层楼。
其后，Flyman一直专注创作第四张专辑《Fade To Black》。除了主音Apollo跟Flyman本人，其余两位皆为新成员：Daniel Flores (鼓手，Mind’s Eye, Tears of Anger, ZooL)、Johan Niemann (低音吉他手，, Hubi Meisel, Demonoid, Mind's Eye)。Tony Carey(Rainbow)亦于〈Lights Out〉一曲作客席键盘演奏。专辑于2008/2009年顺利发行。2. 现任成员Henrik Flyman - 吉他/键盘/创作
