夏祥鳌湖南人，研究员，博士生导师，1994年毕业于南京气象学院应用气象系，1997年中国气象科学研究院获硕士学位，2002年中国科学院大气物理研究所获博士学位。主要从事气溶胶-云-辐射相互作用地基和卫星遥感研究，主持项目包括国家自然科学基金、中国科学院重要方向性创新项目以及973专题等，在国内外学术期刊发表论文40余篇。
