剧情简介:
两列火车发生了对撞的惨剧，131名乘客不幸遇难。唯一的幸存者大卫醒来后发现自己在费城医院的急诊室中，更奇怪的是他不仅得以生还，而且全身上下一点儿伤也没有。这次事件引起一个名叫伊利亚的黑人的注意，伊利亚天生手脚残废，命运多舛的他认定大卫身上有某种超自然的力量。男主角大卫能如此幸运地躲过劫难，究竟是老天的恩宠，还是冥冥中有不可思议的邪恶力量在控制著他？在伊利亚的引导下，大卫逐渐发现了其中的秘密……
布鲁斯威利斯扮演的大卫是一位遭遇家庭危机的中年男人，在大学体育馆从事保卫工作，以前曾是美式橄榄球运动员。在一次从纽约返回费城的路上，大卫乘坐的列车发生事故。车上的乘客除了大卫全部遇难，而大卫却毫发未伤。当地媒体报道了这一事故，并特别提到了唯一的幸存者大卫。
在教堂为遇难者举行悼念仪式那天，大卫在自己的车上发现了一张卡片，卡片里写着一句话“你是否从未生过病？”大卫自己也有同样的疑问，于是回去查了自己的出勤记录，发现自己4年来从未请过病假。回到家里，大卫又问了自己妻子同样的问题。由于妻子与他正处在婚姻危机之中，因此妻子对他的问题并不关心。第二天，大卫带着儿子来到了卡片上表明的“限量收藏”漫画商店，商店的主人伊利亚（由塞缪尔;杰克逊扮演）正是给他卡片的人。
原来，伊利亚因为身患遗传疾病，天生骨骼脆弱，极易骨折，被称为“玻璃人”。因此他的生活大都在病床上度过，陪伴他的只有各种漫画书。伊利亚认为，既然上天安排他这样的人存在，那世上必然也存在另一个极端的人，也就是从不会生病或受伤的人。而大卫也就是这样的人。伊利亚试图说服大卫相信自己的理论，并举例最近发生的几次重大事故，飞机失事、酒店起火全都没有幸存者，只有这次火车事故，大卫是唯一的幸存者。大卫并不相信伊利亚，还认为他是骗子，带着儿子离开了漫画收藏店。
之后几经波折，大卫和妻子的关系出现转机。并且在他和伊利亚的交往中，逐渐接受了伊利亚的观点，认识到了自己确有非凡的能力。还用自己的能力解决了一起歹徒行凶事件，真的成为了漫画书中的“英雄”。
影片的结尾有些出人意料。在伊利亚的画展上，大卫和他再次相遇，此时他们已成了朋友。就在大卫与伊利亚握手的时候，凭借自己的超能力，一幅幅画面闪现在大卫眼前。原来伊利亚为了证实自己的理论，寻找不会受伤的“英雄”，自己制造了飞机失事、酒店起火和火车出轨的事故。大卫无法接受这一事实，带着复杂的心情离开了伊利亚的画廊，身后传来伊利亚“他们叫我玻璃人”的喊声。
幕后制作：
这是一部悬念惊悚片，影片一开始以车祸开头引出故事，唯一幸存者身上未受伤引出了疑问，随着故事情节的展开，最终的答案在高潮处被推出，人们才明白其中的端倪。除了情节吸引观众之外，主角布鲁斯·威利斯的表演也分外引人注目。布鲁斯·威利斯一改过去动作片中英雄铁血形象，而以奇幻、惊悚吸引观众眼球，让人有不一样的感受。
整部影片风格有些沉闷，除了片头大卫在火车上与女乘客搭讪，只有结尾能算是一个亮点。这不禁想到同样是布鲁斯;威利斯主演的另一部同样是很沉闷，但结尾又出人意料的电影《第六感》。其实这两部电影同样是由印度籍导演奈特;沙马兰（M. Night Shyamalan）导演的。他还导演过梅尔•吉布森（Mel Gibson）主演的《天兆》（Signs）等影片。在这部《不死劫》中，沙马兰还客串了了一个小角色。影片55分钟左右，大卫在体育馆入口处检查一个怀疑携带毒品的印度人，这个人就是导演沙马兰。
