剧情介绍三年前，安妮波特在那场惊心动魂的公共汽车爆炸案中与特警杰克相识相恋。然而，突如其来的爱情经不起时间的考验，况且安妮无法忍受提心吊胆的生活，不久两人便分道扬镳。现在，安妮又交上了一位新男友，自称普通的海岸巡警亚历克斯肯。
安妮在进行驾照考试时误入一场飞车追逐战。她意外地发现驾驶摩托车的正是亚历克斯，他正追赶一辆满载被盗的电脑仓皇逃窜的卡车。亚历克斯圆满地完成了任务，电脑公司奖励给他两张乘坐该公司的豪华游船出游加勒比海的船票。原来亚历史斯也是一名特警，这多少让安妮感到有些气馁，但她还是原谅了亚历克斯，兴高采烈地开始了加勒比海之旅。
游客中有一名叫约翰盖格的男子，此人是个电脑奇才，当他被诊断出身患绝症后，电脑公司毫不留情地开除了他。盖格正是这艘豪华游船的电脑程序设计者。为了报复，他拿出所有积蓄买了船票，将炸药和雷管藏在高尔夫球棒中带上了船……这次安妮又将如何化险为夷呢？
Alex给了Annie一个惊喜：他安排了一次到巴哈马群岛的游轮度假。Annie一路上一直闷闷不乐，因为她刚刚才知道Alex的警察身份，责怪Alex之前一直对她撒谎，对警察厌倦了的Annie自然不高兴。乘客中有几位钻石商人，他们在船的暗格里堆满了价值连城的钻石。另外，游轮的电脑系统设计者，计算机天才John Gerger也在乘客名单里，由于刚被解雇心怀愤恨，他计划盗走钻石并使游轮与另一艘油轮相撞。作为一名警察，Alex无可避免地卷入这个危险的计划中……
