1978-1982 在武汉水利电力大学应用数学专业读本科，毕业留校工作。 1984-1987 在武汉水利电力大学应用数学专业攻读硕士学位。 2002-2005 在武汉大学计算数学专业攻读博士学位，获理学博士学位。现为武汉大学数学与统计学院 信息与计算数学系 副教授，全国工程硕士专业学位教育指导委员会公共课程数学组成员。主要研究方向：非线性系统理论、混沌动力学、复杂网络、科学与工程计算。参与国家自然科学基金项目《几种典型耦合结构的复杂动力网络的控制与同步》（ 60574045 ）， 2006-2008 。在国内外刊物发表学术论文 20 多篇，参与编写教材 3 本。其中 2004 年以来，发表及拟发表关于混沌方面文章 6 篇（ 5 篇为 SCI ），被 SCI 引用 31 次，单篇最高他引 20 次。科研项目《 几类混沌系统的理论、控制及其应用 》获 2006 年湖北省自然科学二等奖（排第三）。
