Module 1
IntrodUCtion to Cisco Internetworking. This tutorial PRovides a new user of Cisco IOS software with a fundamental understanding of the IOS command-line interface (CLI). You will do hands-on interface, configuration, and management labs. You will also learn the basics of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/ip) and Cisco routing terminology, concepts, equipment, and configuration tasks.

Module 2
Routed Protocols. This module provides information on the fundamentals of IP and IPX routing. It is accompanied by a series of labs designed to enhance the concepts being eXPlained. These labs give you the opportunity to apply what is being taught by using a simulated Cisco IOS environment.

Module 3
Routing Protocols and access Lists. This module provides information on the fundamentals of Routing Information Protocol (RIP), Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (IGRP), and Access Lists. It is accompanied by a series of labs designed to enhance the concepts being explained. These labs give you the opportunity to apply what is being taught by using a simulated Cisco IOS environment.

Module 4
LAN Switching. In this module, you will learn about the concepts and processes of LAN switching. You will learn about the factors that motivated switching technologies, the various types of switching technologies available, and how LAN switches Operate. This module also covers the topics of managing LAN switches, configuring some of the parameters on a switch, and the role of virtual LANs (VLANs) in LAN switching.

Module 5
Wide-Area Network Access. This tutorial provides information on the fundamentals of Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) technology, as well as hands-on configuration labs to reinforce the concepts being taught. You will learn basic ISDN terminology and concepts, while also configuring Basic Rate Interface (BRI) and Primary Rate Interface (PRI) connections. This module also covers Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) authentication methods, including PassWord Authentication Protocol (PAP) and Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP). Another important wide area network (WAN) protocol, Frame Relay, is also covered in this module.
