Seems recently everybody's going with some sort of summary on 2004 and/or an outlook for 2005. A good practice it really could be.
For me, there are several things I would like to write down for Year 2004:
1- Made the great shift from Shanghai back to home town Chengdu.
2- Acquired one star(*) at CSDN Java community.
3- Became more of an Arsenal fan.
4- Got an offer from a Singapore-owned company as a Java developer, which made my shift from Shanghai to look more reasonable and well-planned.
5- As time goes, had grown from an average programmer to a team lead with managerial tasks. This had not been easy for someone who had majored in something that had nothing to do with computer science.
6- Made the kick-off of my Weblog sites.
7- Completed a series of articles on J2SE 5.0's new features.
And for the outlook part:
1- One thing seems quite for sure now: the first 1/3 of my 2005 will be spent at Beijing for a large yet quite urgent project.
2- Will try to get more time with my family, especially my wife.
3- Will publish more and more articles on my blog.
4- Will have more fun with my XBOX console.
5- Hopefully will eventually become the person in charge of one of the biggest products' development at Chengdu Software Development Center (SDC) of my company.
6- Will earn more expertise from my work.
7- Will have more exercises, to loose some weight.
Wish I were not expecting too much. :)
