硬件配置
l
设备
一个FAX机、一个外置（内置或可，我没有尝试）Modem(支持FAX功能的，一般均支持)、一条双水晶头电话线。

连接
Modem按正常的连接方式与电脑连接（通常为COM1口）
双头电话线的一头连上FAX机的Line口，另一头连上Modem的Line口

软件配置
我用的传真软件是32Bit FAX。我用过Bitware(网上已有相关的打印、扫描应用文章)，在我的机器中只能扫描不能打印(操作过程与本文类似)。Windows自带的Fax软件就不能打，不能扫。
软件的主界面：
它支持多Modem，一般，图中的Modem 1就对应我们的Modem

扫描

在FAX机中放入要扫描的纸

拿起FAX机听筒
3.
设置FAX精度（可选）
4.
按下“启动”按钮
5.
在软件中转到“Event
Monitors”页按下软件的“Answer
Now”按钮，状态如下图

开始接收

完成
注意，第4、5步间可能要有一个恰当的时距，请留意软件中“FaxModem
Command/Response”一栏的提示

打印
1.
将FAX机的状态调整至“接收传真”
2.
在编辑软件（Word）中整理好文档，执行“打印”命令（Word中选择“文件à打印”）
3.
选择“ElectraSoft
NT Print to Fax”打印机，“确定”，如下图：

运行“32Bit Fax”软件
5.
出现打印页的预览窗口，如下图：

进入32Bit Fax主界面，如下图，一般Modem 1就是主机连接的Modem。确保

进入Send Fax页在
8.
拿起FAX机听筒 或 按下FAX免提按钮

在软件中按下

出现FAX传输状态界面，如下图：

当看到
OUT: ATDT0765（0765为我在上面步骤中输入的电话号）
IN : ATDT0765（0765为我在上面步骤中输入的电话号）
时，按下FAX机的“启动”或“开始”键。
12.
当看到传输状态为下图时，则开始传输
13.
完成打印。
如果你不能看到第12步的画面，请重复第8到第12步。要注意：按下FAX机的“启动”或“开始”键 的时机要适合。
一步步的工序，其实如果你熟习了，就不会太复杂。
