慧聪网家电频道报道 据世界上最大的平板电视生产商之一，三星电子透露：公司已经启动最新规模的液晶电视面板生产线，而本次液晶电视面板生产线的建立比计划提前3个月。
三星本次公告是随着LG飞利浦，开始的第七代大屏幕电视面板生产线启动后即刻发表的。
目前，一些分析人士认为2006年液晶电视屏的生产将面临一场产能过剩的问题。尤其像三星和LG飞利浦等企业更会面临类似问题。
三星第七代产品生产线7-2，将会生产出45000块玻璃基板，每一块基板将会生产出8台40英寸平面显示屏，这就意味着每个月可以生产成百上千个液晶显示屏或大屏幕电视。（经济时报）
Samsung to Set Up LCD Unit Ahead of Schedule
Samsung Electronics, one of the largest makers of flat screens, said it was set to start up its newest mass production line for liquid crystal display TV panels, 3 months ahead of schedule.
The announcement came as LG Philips LCD started mass production at its own ’seventh-generation’ line for large-sized TV panels.
Analysts are concerned the LCD industry could face overcapacity in 2006, as heavyweights like Samsung Electronics and LG Philips ramp up output.
Samsung’s seventh generation production line, Line 7-2, will produce 45,000 substrates, from each of which eight 40-inch panels can be produced, per month. (The Economic Times)
