Mango and pineapple are becoming the best selling fruits in the local market. The supply is increasing but the price is declining compared with last year.
These fruits, grown in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Hainan and Fujian provinces, have been in the market for about a week - days earlier than last year due to the warmer weather this year, according to the Shanghai Fruit Association.
"The harvest of mangoes and pineapples this year in the southern provinces led to the large supply on the market," said Hou Yuxin, deputy director of the association.
