Yesterday afternoon, I went to Santa Morica Beach, which is about 20 minute drive from LA, for a sightseeing. The beach is picturesque. Many people there were braving the cold playing volleyball and surfing... But one scene caught my attention and a couple or 2 lovers were kissing each other in the beach for a long long time in spite of waves roaring towards them. I was deeply moved by this scene. That is wonderful beyond word's description, A perfect harmony between human love and natural beauty.
These days I have seen how Americans express their love to their sweet hearts. They say I love you very offten and kiss in public is commonplace occurance. In this respect, we chinese are very conservative even though we are less so now. take myself for example, I do not remember when I said I love you to my wife. I used to believe a real gentleman should bury his love for a woman deeply in the heart and just show his love by caring his wife. So called deeds speak loudly than words. Now I come to realize that I am terribly wrong. Sometimes, as far as subtle feeling is concerned, maybe sweet words are more touching and moving. After all humanbeings are emotional animals. Sometimes, my wife accused me of not knowing how a woman feels. I think her accusation certainly can be justified.
Now, let me daringly say it loudly from the other side of the globe: Darling, I love you so much! I will keep saying this beautiful sentence when I am back in front of you.
Love you forever and ever...
Your Dave
