This morning,a friend came to see me. After a while, she left and I accompanied her downstairs to see her off.Not until we went out of the building, had I found that the outside was all while. "Wow,it snowed!" I cried. "Yeah,it snowed, for a long time. Don't you know?"She looked at me with a little surprise. "Oh,yeah? When did it?Yesterday?"I asked. "Yes.Oh,you even didn't take a glance out of the window yesterday?" "No." "Come with me to play outside?" "Well, thank you.But...but I had better go upstairs now...There are things for me to do. Goodbye.Have a nice day." She shrugged, then left. I joyfully watched the lovely white world for seconds, then went back. Sitting behind my books,I couldn't help thinking of the meteor star night days ago...... That night,I happened to go to my dorm to sleep. "Know tonight's meteor stars?" Before going to bed,I asked one dormmate. "Yeah. But I just wanna sleep now.Oh,Ginger, leave it to those `kids`(We are used to calling lower-grade students `kids`).We have things to do tomorrow, yeah?" "Yes,good night." In midnight,I was awoken by disordered steps in the corridor. Then I heared bursts of joy in campus."They are coming." I thought. Other dommates might be awoken too at the time. But nobody spoke or got up.I knew we wouldn't do as 3 years ago. In 1998,the first year I entered college. It was as well a cold winter night, and maybe colder than this night. The news of the coming of meteor stars spreaded throughtout my class quickly and everyone longed for it full of joy. In that night,we all dressed the thickest clothes and went to the scaffold of the playground. It's so freezing and we crowded together to get warmth.Precisely it was not "rain",for the stars didn't fall together, but one by one.The scene was not so splendid as we had thought. But each was still so excited when seeing one.We cried,laughed...What a happy night.... But we wouldn't at present. Not that we don't want to,but that we don't have time. The probation reply is just before eyes. And in January there are tests waiting for us-----TOEFL,the entrance tests for a MA degree...... The New Year Day is coming.Traditionally our college shows all-night movies then.In past years we liked to bring nosh and drinks to the movie hall to see movies all night. But I know we won't this time.We are seniors. We have so many things to do this winter. I feel...I feel youth belongs to those"kids",and I am getting old,day by day.......
