It was the first time that I went to HK. But it gave me enough shock in this very first trip.
My first impression about HK is CLEAN. You can hardly find any litters on the streets. The floor is clean, the wall is clean, the air is clean, everything is clean, you can view the objects in long distance very clearly. You just feel comfortable in such CLEAN environment. Sometimes I wondered how they keep the place so clean and bright.
When you walk on the street, you can not find any people who spits on the floor or litters. I think that might be one of the reason why they can keep the street so clean.
The transportation system is very user-friendly. Each time when you have to transfer the metro line, you do not need to wait for the metro car to come, which is just waiting on another line you are going to take. Also when you walk on the street, and you are going to cross the road, but you do not know which way the vehicle comes. Don't worry, there is a mark on the road, "Look Left" or "Look Right". You will never miss the direction that the vehicle comes. You feel safe.
When I was on the Peak, one of the scenery of HK, there was an old man who wanted to sell his photo service to a foreign guy. They talked for several minutes in English, oh, how good English the old man is talking. Although the old man failed to do his business, but I still admire him much.
The above are all positive impressions about HK. But there is one thing that I do not appreciate much, it is the house. I lived in a friend's apartment during the trip. The apartment is about 15 sq.m. The bedroom and the sitting room are in the same place about 10 sq.m. very small. When I asked how much did he buy the house, he said it worth 500,000 HKD. I was astonished, the money can buy a 90 sq.m. apartment in GZ where I am living. When told him this, he was astonished.
After all, I have good impression of HK. They have high-educated people, very polite. They have good environment, very clean. They have advanced transportaion systems, very convenient, etc. I do not know if it is the same in developed countries, but I know it is very different from here in mainland China. So, you understand why I used "shock" in the beginning of the article. The shock is from my deep heart.
