As is well known, Ma Jiajue, who had entered a key university with his high mark in the college entrance examination 4 years ago, killed 4 of his roommates ferociously. All cursed Ma's cruelty. But how did it happen? What made a farmer's son so merciless as to end the lives of the other four poor as him?
Ma is reported to be one shy in the presence of girls but quite active in his small circle. He hated to talk about his poverty and avoided the topic when his class teacher tried to. Ever since he bought a second-hand computer, he buried himself more in the net, surfing on some salacious or sanguinary websites.
Ma enclosed himself from others, after trying to mingle with others but felt more hurt.
What if Ma had kept on communicating with others?
People live in the society. No one can live alone. He needs to help others and get others' help. Therefore, the way of dealing with people is vital to any human being. We often see those who don't have the required knowledge or skill but live a happy and rich life only because of the better communicating skills with others.
By communicating with others, one gets to know and understand others and be known and understood. In this way, he can accept others' comments, even ill criticism.
As a matter of fact, no one can’t feel the existence of prejudice against or for someone. There is nothing to do except face it and try to change it in one’s own favor. It is difficult to carry on as any prejudice is difficult to get rid of once it comes. This obstacle is in a sense a lot more difficult to overcome than that in one’s getting into university through individual diligence. It requires endless efforts over numerous pains. Most important it involves developing an appropriate attitude to life and enjoy a better character.
Here are my suggestions:
First, it’s important to be open-minded. An open-minded person can accept any happenings including others’ bitter insults and understand others action and thoughts no matter how odd they may be.
Then, try to find someone to talk to if meeting with some trouble. More often the listener is able to offer some advice. If there is no advice given, the telling itself will relieve one’s pain and make him or her rational. If there is no one to confide in, writing a diary can be a good way, even better than just pouring oneself out to somebody. By and by, one can get into the habit of using his head to analyze what he meets with instead of some direct instinct reaction.
Join others in some activities and learn to be cooperative strengthens the ties with others. Through activities, for example, playing basketball, even just watching others playing, or going outing, one can learn to ignore others’ wellmeaning jokes.
Last but not least, never attempt to make fun of others, especially those who are defective physically or mentally.
It is a long way to come into the world, involving mother’s pain, parents’ care and many others’ love. Life is also colourful. We can not but enjoy our life and do what we can for others. There is not a single reason for anyone to ruin it.
