Hi,all
The article I post below is from one of the most famous magazines in China named "Reader". Share with you here. Hope you can point out my mistakes. Your help will be highly appreciated.
I have ever read a story about the love between a girl and a boy. The girl loves the boy so deep as if he was all of her life. Every morning the girl crosses a highroad to buy breakfast and prepares very carefully for the boy, then wakes him up. The boy always gets up from her tender call, has breakfast and then rushes to work.
The accident happened when one morning she got up somewhat later than usual. Worrying about that the boy would be late to work, she tried to save the time by crossing the highroad quickly. A car injured her. She lost one of her arms.
Heard the news, the boy brought roses to look her in the hospital with a broken heart. But it was the last time the girl meet her lover. He never showed up when he knew that she would never get her lost arm back.
During the days she stayed in hospital, it was the roses that the boy gave to her accompanied her. The girl's heart was broken while the flowers were fading. That was her love. The poor girl has given all of her to the love. But the boy disappeared without any comfort to her.
The story reminds me of a caricature. It says " Can you wait for me with roses in front of my door in a downpour? Can you recognize the color of my swimsuit on the crowded beach? Can you wash my socks in front of your friends? Will you hold my hands when disaster comes? The picture shows that many hands are rising at first, and then some of hands get down. At last there is a vacancy.
I abandoned myself to grief just for the vacancy, just for the simple sentence " Will you hold my hands when disaster comes?" Why not? Is the love really so fragile? There is no true love without setbacks. There is no significative life without pain. When we are experiencing the love, we say "I love you forever". But when we face with the disaster, how many couples will hold each other's hands and hold each other's love?
Will you hold my hands when disaster comes?
