Science Fiction Movie
Yesterday evening I watched Matrix 3. How to say my feeling when finishing all of them in the last several days? For me, if I had not seen the movie I guess I could never imagine there would have something exist in this world. How imaginative and creative human being’s brain are!
The guys who created and directed those science fiction movies are some of them. They exceed the current and the reality to create something that could happen in our mind but never in reality, like the time machine, the dog who can speak language, the matrix, and so on. How could those things happen in reality? But that indeed happened finally in the movie. The only difference is just the form they showed up.
I suppose that’s one charming aspect all science fiction movies have. It can realize our dreams to some extent. It overpasses and changes the world surrounding us, in which the limitation of time, space could disappear and be totally neglected.
One science fiction movie I saw long time ago talked about Time Machine. The hero happened to get a watch having some bottoms. When pushing the bottom it could let him enter another world immediately, in which time speed is much faster than that in reality. He was confused but later became so surprised and excited.
He could see many things that the people living in the normal world couldn’t see and believe. Moreover, Apparently he could let stop the time existing in the real world so that he could prevent, for instance, something from happening before it happen in reality.
It was so amazing and unbelievable to see that movie. At that moment I realized that the guy who make the movie must be a genius. How could it be possible for him to create, like the Time Machine, such an amazing thing. This is also exactly what I thought when seeing Matrix.
In the movie Matrix, Neo, who was said to be the savor of the world, was a programmer at the beginning. But because of his feeling, that he could feel but failed to tell, he got access to knowing Matrix and was informed that in reality people are all controlled. They live not for themselves. They live just according to be informed or programmed.
To say the truth, some of scenes in the movie were beyond me that I could not fully understand. However, in spite of this, it still couldn’t hinder me from enjoying and loving the movie. The directors were showing us not only one incredible, but not ridiculous world, but the principles and rules as well.
Once I was asked what the value of science fiction movie was, Now, I realize it could be a kind of prediction or warning or something. For instance, in the movie “The day After Tomorrow”, who could say that such disasters would never happen in the world? Thinking of “Wai Xing Shen Quan”, who would not realize how important getting along with animals well was and how valuable they were to us?
Only concerning this, I suppose, it could be fully obvious that how important these science fiction movies are to us. However, personally I don’t like all the science fiction movies. Some of them are too bloody or obscure to be appreciated. For me, I don’t need too much computerization or something stimulating. If I see it I want it could tell something and be worth seeing, to say the least.
I guess there could have many people who think the same way like I am. Indeed whichever style the movie is, that could be O.K if it could offer us a lot of fun. But I guess just for fun isn’t and couldn’t be the only way it could go. After all, fun is not everything and of course can't be the only thing that we want.
So, personally speaking, I really wish whenever those big directors want to show us flavorous dishes, please don’t forget to place FOODS on it.
