Dear forum friends,
Sorry for my sudden and mysterious vanishing for so long, I’ve been sooooooooo occupied with my outdoor projects. I will be leaving for Paris with my entire family this coming Sunday. Two days ago I was still on the roof and on tall ladder drilling and nailing in fasciae panels on my storage house, can you imagine? I also had to paint my deck over and over for three times because half an hour after I painted the darn thing the second time, it rained and made a terrible messout of my hard works. I finished mowing my lawn at 9:30 PM last night just before it got all dark. All my summer projects have all been duly completed and now I am ready to pack and set out for Europe. This will be the second time I get to leave North American continent in twenty five years and I am so excited. I feel like a little boy at the candy shop again. The last time I am this excited was on my wedding night!!!
Today after work I have to rush to Alberta Motor Association and buy an International driver’s license so that I can drive from Paris down to southern France when I am there. We’ll get to spend the first week in Paris touring all the famous tourist spots, including the zoo, the tower and Disney Europe. After that we will be driving down to southern France and spend ten days by the beach, swimming day and night in the ocean. My cousin has a cottage down there and we will get to buy and eat fresh food and fruits. After that we will join a tour to different European countries for sight seeing. I don’t know exactly which country we will visit but it would probably include Italy, Germany, Austria, Holland, Belgium and a bunch of tiny countries we happen to step on during our trip. It all depends on which tour will be able to fit in our tight schedule then.
I know I’ve missed out a lot on this forum, and I probably missed some articles addressed to me too, I wish to apologize for not being here to answer and share my thought. I am not bringing my computer with me on this trip and I don’t know if I will (or want to) have access to the Internet so it’s very unlikely that I can write and post daily diary throughout my trip to share with you folks. Hopefully upon my return I will have energy and spare time to write down my ‘once in a life time’ experience to satisfy your curiosity.
Time has drawn us to the end of the summer. This has been a very busy summer for me as I have to spend so much time and money to fix up the backyard of my new residence. I should have more free time next year around this time to ponder on other major issues in life. I know it’s been very hot in Asia this past months but I certainly didn’t feel much of the heat this summer in my city. Summer didn’t really arrive until mid June and then it’s been raining so frequently it felt more like mid spring than summer. I am sure when I come home again I will be facing a ‘premature’ fall, since some leaves in a park nearby have already turned yellow.
Have a nice summer…or what’s left of it, everyone!
