New Year's Resolution

Dear forum friends,
I initially drew up a long ‘To do’ list for 2005 and kept crossing out and replenishing that list throughout 2005, and now on the second day of a brand new year, I still have an unfinished ‘To do’ list on hand.
I thought I’d do something different this year, instead of trying to get rid of
bad habits, I am going to embrace 2006 by concentrating on doing more of the good things in life...
My New Year’s Resolution for 2006:
- Live louder and more balanced
- Laugh harder
- Love smarter
- Smile more
- Tell more jokes
- Take time to listen
- Take time to gaze at the lucid moon and glittering stars
- Stop and smell the roses more often, even if the fragrance makes me sneeze
- Allow myself to daydream and fantasize more, even aimlessly
- Indulge myself to things that my heart desires
- Be committed in random acts of kindness
- Devote time and make donations to good causes
- Find time to look after my body, and feed my mind and spirit
- Open more doors for others, at work and in life
- Take time to smile at strangers, just because life is beautiful
- Make an effort to connect to those who enter into my life
- Quit rushing around and pushing myself a little too hard
- Quit being temperamental at things that are of no significance to my life
- Change my output to produce a harmonized and more pleasant environment for my
existence
- Act rather than react
- Initiate rather than respond
- Learn to appreciate the sacrosanctity of life
- Endeavor to passionately and profoundly savor every moment of truth in life
- Learn to relish, avidly and yearningly, the breathtaking beauty that Mother Nature has to offer
- Face the inevitable trials and tribulations of life with more courage and hope
- Pursue knowledge, in the same manner as my pursuit of love, friendship, food,
shelter and truth
- Learn to dance, to deeply relax and alleviate stress imposed by secularity of
life
- Learn 5 English words per day, and teach same to my son
- Remain and constantly remind myself to be thankful, for food and shelter, for
love and friendship, for sunsets and moonlight, for every blessing, every whip of breath, every pulse and heartbeat and mostly, for life and for this beautiful
world.
