I started working today after nine-day holiday and felt asleep all day long. It seems I have not yet been awakened from pleasant and free days. In those days,
I did something interesting and saw something instructive. So I am going to tell you what were they.
One thing interested me was playing Hunan card (字牌) which is pretty much Mah
-jong in playing. In actual fact, I myself don’t like playing card, especially
play it with the money. But during Spring Festival, my sister family had a reunion so some relatives joined in together. And one of them suggested playing Hunan
card so I tried interestingly to play it taught by anyone of them who was free.
I first played this kind of card so I didn’t know how to play at all. But my relatives patiently taught me and played with me until I could play it on my own.
My brother-in-law does only know it a little but he says it is not just a simple game, but very abstract and the winner should be good at drawing upon the knowledge of permutation and combination. Yes, it is pretty flexible in playing and
should pay full attention to. But I just regard it as an interesting game which
makes me relaxed at leisure and should not addict to it.
Besides, I visited Shenzhen Sea World for sightseeing, in which its buildings
are very much like the kingdoms of fairy tales, very colorful outside and some are low and some top and have an ogive. There is a sea tunnel around which there
are kinds of sea fishes which I even don’t know their name swimming freely and
grabbing the food from feeders together. And the feeders all were totally overwhelmed by a huge heap of fish but they didn’t scare at all. They were just dancing with fish gaily and amicably in water. At the same time, the Sea Theater drew
most of the tourists’ attention. The players were the fat black-full animals,
such as sea lions, dolphins. Their stunts both on land and sea won a big hand continually and loudly. Look! Two dolphins were now forward pushing a feeder who was standing straight and spreading his two arms in water by their noses, which put everyone in mind of two lovers standing on the head of a huge steamboat which
once showed in a wonderful film Titanic. More wonderful was the diving from high diving boards and ballet in water. They are all from Ukraine and strong enough
. When a player was diving from the highest diving board which is at a height of
25 meter above the ground, we all screamed and clapped loudly.
What made me impressive was the natural behavior of a foreigner when I sat on
the lawn overlooking the immense sea. He is in his 50s and sat lean again a tree
, eating oranges with a Chinese who I think is his friend. For a while they ate
up all oranges so he dumped the rubbish which was put in a plastic bag into the
garbage bin. To my great astonishment was he just dumped all the peels but put the plastic bag away into his own bag. If he were a Chinese he would dump the plastic into garbage bin simultaneously. I am so sure for it. Here, you may think what he did is nothing, but it is a good habit of saving resources and protecting
environment. What’s more important is we should re-use those limited resources
for doing a lot of good not only for our nation, but for us as well.
