Dear All,
It was a wonderful meeting with Tim and Dave, as Dave said that pictures can say
more than words do, so first of all, I will post the pictures I have taken with
them during this unforgettable meeting to share with you.
I am not good at writing but I am one of the luckiests among our forum members that I had the opportunity to have met with Tim and Dave personally! As most of you know this was not the first time I met Tim in person so I am quite familiar with him and treated him as my old good friend. And owing to Tim's visit, I got the golden chance to meet Dave, one of our most respected old members on our forum. I did not know him much though I had read some of his old articles which he posted on the forum in the past, as he does not write often as he did in the past
on the forum, we did not have the chance to exchange things, but in my mind, he
is an excellent and a great example for me to learn from. Now , thank to Tim's
visit, I got to know him more and as he said in his report, I did not feel unfamiliar with him at all thought that was the first time to meet him.
As Dave already wrote most of Tim's trip here, I will just briefly add the small
part at my side and then post the series pictures from their arrival to the end
of their trip in Zhuhai.
We picked up Tim and James at 5:50pm or so on Nov 12 at Zhuhai airport, they both had a bit cough, we drove to the hotel to check in first and then went to Mao'
s family restaurant to have a welcoming dinner.
As I was just back from a business trip to Shanghai on last Saturday evening, on
Monday morning(Nov 13), I had to go back to office to catch up some work and as
Tim and James both needed some rest so they stayed at the hotel most of the day
on Nov 13. Around middle afternoon, I asked a young girl, a friend of mine to pick up them from the hotel and brought them to Gongbei district to take a look and took an evening boat tour from 6:30pm to 8:15pm viewing the night of Macao and some surrounding islands. For this part, only Tim took some pictures and I hope
that he can show us later.
On Nov 14, we planned to spend a whole day at a new tour resort in Zhuhai called
Ocean Spring where there is a hot spring and a mystery island. I wished that we
could have a relax and some fun there. But due to the tiredness of the long trip, Tim felt not very well and felt no energy at the night before, He called me to delay or cancel this plan. I understood and followed his idea. So in the morning of Nov 14, they stayed at hotel room again. And that morning I came back to
my work as normal, but unexpectedly, I got a sudden call from my boss that I had
to bring a US client to visit our factory in the morning, so I did that and after sending our client to the hotel which is just next to the hotel Tim stayed, I
rushed to see Tim as I was quite worried about their situation. By then, they were still sleeping, so you see how tired they had been. :-( After a small talk with Tim at the room door. I said that I would come over at around 3-4pm to take
them out to walk around for a while and then wait for the meeting with Dave at 6pm. Then I came back to work. At around 4pm, my husband and I went to the hotel
and then we four went out to walk along the seaside. Actually, the Harbour View
Hotel locates the seaside and next to the beach, and we took bus to the two bus
stop away to see the Zhuhai fish lady status and walked through the Haibin Park
to the Jiuzhoucheng. At there, I found Tim sweating a lot, I called Dave and knew he was about to reach the hotel, so we decided to go to the restaurant first and then waited for Dave at the restaurant!
So when Dave came and they happily and warmly talking and talking...So this part
no need my wordy narration. Dave told you guys everything in details in his articles.Thank you so much Dave for your joining as visiting your factory became the most excited part for Tim's visit here. Dave, you are so talkative and talk so
fast! Your spoken English is so excellent as your writing here. I really admire
you so much! :-)
After visiting Dave's factory that morning and had lunch with him in his town, we drove back and arrived at the hotel at 4:30pm and picked James up, and then rushed to a big supermarket to buy some food, vegetables and fruits for the dinner
at our home! I was so sorry that it seemed time was so tight and we did not well prepared the dinner. I was pleased that Tim still said that he loved the dinner at my home!
Have a safe and nice trip back to your home! Tim. Thank you again for your visiting! :-)
Sally
