18 To Life is a domestic comedy about a couple embarking on a lifetime of firsts. And taking their parents along for the ride.
You see, Tom and Jessie won't be on this journey alone. Because they're eighteen, their marriage becomes public property. Friends, family, strangers, everyone has an opinion about whether this is true love, or a colossal mistake. Meanwhile Tom and Jessie must try to build a life for themselves within Tom's parents' household. But how do you learn to be "husband and wife" when the whole world is in your marital bed?

准新郎Tom（Michael Seater扮演）是个英俊、帅气的小伙子，为人随和，性格很好。他的父母Ben（Peter Keleghan扮演）和Judith（Ellen David扮演）都是守旧派，在儿子的婚姻问题上历来讲究「门当户对」－－就算媳妇不是什么大家闺秀，也应该稳重端庄。而准新娘Jessie（Stacey Farber）偏偏是个激情、活泼、外向、直率的女孩，她的父母Phil（Al Goulem扮演）和Tara Hill（Angela Asher Degrassi扮演）也都是不拘小节的人，还是一对坚定的环境保护者（tree-huggers）。
Tom和Jessie已经厌倦了只能隔着篱笆墙偷偷接吻的生活，他们不愿再躲躲藏藏。他们觉得自己长大了，可以自己决定自己的终身大事。当这对新婚夫妻堂而皇之地搬进Tom家的顶楼共同生活时，一场「婚姻大战」随即在两家人之间爆发。
