Cranes是90年代英国的重要Trance-pop/Shoegazing乐队之一，它的核心成员是brother-sister：James Shaw和 Alison Shaw。他们的第三张专辑《Loved》本来计划作为双CD发行，其中一半对法国作家Jean Paul Sartre的表现主义剧作《The Flies》进行音乐上的阐释，可惜后来这个计划搁置下来，取而代之，只诞生了11首歌曲，强烈的节奏感、厚重的吉他混合着Alison甜美的小女孩似的声线，怪异而且诱人。
四年前第一次听到‘Shining Road’这首歌至今还很喜欢，把它送给所有恋人不在身边的朋友，因为在相爱的人之间永远都有一条闪亮的道路通向彼此。
