Michelle Tumes的歌曲其实有不少是很soft的，音乐是古典的，可是演奏又有着现代的声音。常常将她的音乐和new age混在一起的。确实，Michelle的歌有着new age的一切基本元素，但是有一点不同的是，它的流行元素比new age重很多，还有一些歌偏向rock。可以将她的风格归为Contemporary Christian Music （现代基督教音乐,CCM）。
《Listen》 is the debut album by Michelle Tumes released in 1998. Michelle Tumes's airy and ethereal sounding Listen draws the inevitable comparisons to Enya and Sarah McLachlan. But while the title track and "My Constant One" pay homage to these secular sisters, Tumes carves her own aural niche with a densely layered mix of piano, strings, and programmed rhythms. At times, the dreamlike quality of the music enhances Tumes's unique style, although at other moments it nearly suffocates her beautiful voice, as well as a handful of well crafted songs. Qualms aside, Listen is a formidable debut release from one of contemporary Christian music's most interesting artists. "Heaven Will Be Near Me" ,"Healing Waters" ,and the superb "Please Come Back" are the release's shining moments.
个人认为这张专辑是她作品中最好的。推荐《Feel》，其采用了大量的弦乐组成伴奏的和声主题，淋漓尽致的将那种推山倒海却无所畏惧的气势演绎了出来。放大音量，歌一开头音乐一起气势便出来了，非常恢宏大气的感觉。另外，《Rest My Soul 》，《Listen》等也不错。
