褪去了上张些许药味，加入了不少轻盈的音效，但也有辛辣的吉他声，整体上比较多元。
不过长篇的迷幻歌曲依旧没有少。谁说迷幻乐一定没有旋律，听听Jason Pierce笔下的结尾曲Lord can you hear me，曲调多么优美。人家说玩火必自焚，Spacemen 3已不在意身体被燃烧的感觉了。
Playing With Fire is the penultimate studio album by Spacemen 3, released in 1989. The original CD version included two live bonus tracks recorded in the Netherlands, and an ensuing release on Taang! Records included two more b-sides. A reissued version of the album has many bonus tracks, indeed a whole extra disc demos and rarities.
