Synthetic Breed来自于澳大利亚维多利亚州首府墨尔本市，这是我2008年最喜欢的乐队，他们将Metal这种风格带上了新的轨道。他们称自己的风格是CYBER METAL，这个词真不知道怎么翻译，还有称其为Techno Metal的，这个好理解多了。音乐中混合电子设备的独特声音，大致像是Fear Factory经典的专辑Obsolete的感觉，但是神经质的RIFF要比前者凶猛的多，就好像Meshuggah+Fear Factory。还有值得一提的是鼓手Daniel Luttick，其实在他之前已经换过至少两个鼓手了。在Mathcore的音乐中鼓手是极其重要的角色，通过节奏的重音变化营造混乱不和谐的氛围，Synthetic Breed的现场里Daniel Luttick除了传统的声学鼓以外还要使用Drum Machine(鼓机)加上吉他手Vincent Zylstra的音效编程就有了冰冷的科技味道了。这样又有技术又有能力的乐手是音乐创造力的关键。相信他们会随着意识的日渐成熟而创造出不同与以往的新的风格！！强烈期待下一张专辑。。。
