《NARC》是由Midway经典同名街机游戏改编的一款新作。故事讲述的一个叫做K.R.A.K的组织研究出了一种叫做“liquid soul”的药品，而这种药品将可以提供给使用者某种超能力。K.R.A.K组织打算利用这药品提供给世界上的犯罪份子而牟利，我们的主角Jack和Marcus接受政府的任务，赶到亚洲地区阻止K.R.A.K组织的交易。
游戏中的最大特点就是可以使用种类丰富的药品，而这些药品可不是像我们以前玩游戏里只是用来补充能量的哦！它能够给使用者带来强劲的效果，游戏里把药物效果发作的时间段叫做“药发时段(weed time)”，在药发时段，游戏的变化就是类似于《马克斯佩恩》和《黑客帝国》里的慢动作效果。敌人的攻击将会变的缓慢，但主角的速度却会加快，玩家就要利用好这段时间去把各个对手逐渐击倒。当然，不同的药物是会有不同的效果，其中“liquid soul”将是游戏里面最霸道的药物，能够带给使用者最强大的攻击力。药品可以提供给玩家各种力量，但如果使用过度的话同样会给角色带来负面影响，如陷入行动混乱的状态等。Midway甚至表示游戏可以不用依靠这些药物都能够通关，但既然游戏的特色是药品，玩家当然都会去尝试，如何合理的运用就要大家去思考！
与目前欧美越来越流行的开放式动作游戏一样，在本作中玩家可以选择成为好警察或者坏警察。作为一个好警察，每次查案都会把赃物和金钱充公，而作为坏警察可能会把金钱和毒品都据为己有。毒品不仅可以卖给其他黑社会，还可以用来提高某些方面能力。在毒品的刺激下你的能力可能会得到暂时提高，不过吸食一定次数后就会上瘾。例如可以让所有AI控制的敌人都不攻击你的迷幻药使用12次后就会上瘾，在屏幕上有一个上瘾槽，每隔45秒都会增加一点上瘾程度。安眠酮是一种能够让时间暂时停止的药，这时候你可以进入第一人称视点狙击模式，向任何方向瞄准。不过吸食10次后就会上瘾，上瘾槽每隔30秒上升一点。“液魂”是本作中最厉害的毒品，吸完之后会拥有强大的力量，不过也会有副作用。虽然拳脚攻击的杀伤力都大幅上升，这种毒品也是最容易上瘾的，使用后每隔5秒上瘾槽就会上升一点。并且在吸食这种毒品的情况下，所有AI角色都会成为敌人，包括原来的朋友在内。
虽然毒品种类颇多，不过在一般情况下本作只可以使用迷幻药。安眠酮药在收集到30袋任何种类的毒品后才会出现。液魂只有到达九龙见到Mr. Big之后才会看到。VIS当然不会宣扬毒品，本作中毒品的副作用就是用来作为反面教材的。在吸毒上瘾后，玩家还要尽力控制主角摆脱毒瘾。在游戏中这是通过一些迷你游戏的方式实现的。如果无法戒掉毒瘾就会沦为坏警察，被赶出警局，很多推进游戏剧情的任务就无法完成了。

Midway所开发的这款对应Xbox，PS2，PSP和PC平台的游戏本应该在2005年发布的。可是在当时，PC版突然取消了，并且PC DVDROM的标志也从 http://www.narcgame.com 上撤下。3年后，Midway决定由Zoo Digital Publishing代理发布这款游戏。这款游戏的到来完全出乎我们意料，是从XBOX版移植到PC上来的，可以使用鼠标。为什么这款游戏让我们等了三年？那只有天知道了。

Scene Release Information:
This game was originally developed by Midway and supposed to be released
in 2005 for the XBOX, PS2, PSP and PC.
Back then, the PC version was all of the sudden cancelled and the PC DVDROM
logo was removed from http://www.narcgame.com
3 years pasted and now Midway decided to release it together with Zoo Digital
Publishing.
This game came totally unexpected, especially since it's a XBOX(1) game
ported to PC that makes GTAIV computer conversion look polished, professional
& truly epic.
Here we present you NARC - a 3 year old production that finally makes it to
the PC. If you thought that IronMan or GTAIV were pathetic ports, you'll
change your mind soon! Game features hires play, stencil shadows (!!!) and...
ability to use a PC mouse!
Why this game waited over 3 years for a PC conversion... God knows. Still,
it's worth checking out just for amusement reasons or for a sentimental
wayback journey;)

Release Information:
Jack Forzenski is a man with a pastà a bad past. As an undercover cop on
the Rockland Narco squad, Jack got in too deep and became an addict. Kicked
off the force, Jack endured months of rehab and counseling and has recently
been reinstated to the force.
Marcus Hill is now with the D.E.A. but used to work with Jack in Narco. They
used to be the stars of the squad, busting more criminals than the rest of
the units put together. Once Jack became addicted, Marcus quit Rockland.
A heavy increase in drug trafficking has seen Marcus returned to his
Rockland to tracking a mysterious new drug that is sweeping over the streets.
Marcus and Jack are together again but that doesnÈt mean that either of them
have to like it!
Eddie Jackson is a two-bit drug-dealer. He and he and his gang are caught in
a sting operation and surrounded by cops. The bullets start flying and Eddie
is gunned down. With his life ebbing away, Jackson injects himself with a
syringe and unbelievably he stands up, eyes glowing, and guns down half the
police forceà
ItÈs up to Jack and Marcus, along with the help of Agent Daniels, the Head
of NARC, to get to the bottom of whatÈs going on in Rockland.
Decide whether to play it straight as a good cop or whether to cross the
line to be the bad cop.
Taking drugs can give you the extra edge you need but will soon lead to
dangerous addiction.
Take down bad guys with powerful arrest combos or blast them with an array
of heavy-duty weaponry.
