在《Empire Earth》系列的新作《Empire Earth 2》中，玩家将会见到属于14个不同文明的特色奖励、领袖和独特部队。新的天气和季节系统也被首次被引入游戏中。诸如雾气和降雪之类的天气情况将会影响游戏的进程，迫使玩家们根据气候的变化来制订新的战术。
