据国外游戏情报网站GameInfoWire的最新情报表示，Warner Bros. Interactive（华纳兄弟）与Deadline Games公司正式宣布官方于今年3月在北美地区跨Xbox 360与PS3、PC等平台推出的电影改编动作游戏《守护者：末日将临》（Watchmen：The End is Nigh），将预定于今年夏天再推出最新续篇游戏《Part2》。
据官方表示，目前这款续篇游戏《守护者：末日将临Part2》（Watchmen：The End is Nigh Part2）同样将会对应Xbox 360与PS3、PC等三个平台，其中PC版预定将会于2009年7月29日透过网路下载贩售，定价14.99美金；至于将会把《Part1》与《Part2》一起同梱的Xbox 360版则是将会预定于7月21日推出，定价29.99美金；而最后跟蓝光版电影一起同梱的PS3版则将预定于7月21日发售，定价49.99美金。
《守护者：末日将临》是一个以故事描述人类世界即将灭亡时刻的另一个历史背景的超级英雄传奇的动作游戏，其中《Part1》部份于今年3月随电影推出，而《Part2》则是由Rorschach与Nite Owl再度联手打造的续作游戏，游戏故事将会以拯救一名下落不明的女性为主，至于实际故事内容，则还有待官方之后发表。
