【游戏简介】
Paradox Interactive宣布，由芬兰Nitro Games研发、新款结合贸易与战争的海上即时战略游戏《东印度公司（East India Company）》已经开始压盘，将于7月31日发售。本游戏结合了贸易题材与海战等战略要素，玩家可以建立个人的船队，到遥远的海洋展开贸易，也可以率领船舰，在广大的海洋上与其他国家对手展开战斗。
《东印度公司》游戏背景是以18世纪英国东印度公司为基础，主要呈现在开放的海洋上进行动态的战争，玩家可以挑战如何建立收益最大的世界贸易路线，并且面对诡谲政治情势的挑战。游戏地图涵盖英国到印尼等地，玩家可以边进行新国度的探索、交易。
在《东印度公司》中，玩家将有机会成为东印度公司的总督，或者是选择担任其他竞争对手来对抗，目前游戏共有英国、荷兰、法国、丹麦、葡萄牙、瑞典、西班牙等国家可选择。游戏中有众多的殖民地、资源等目标，像是茶叶、香料、黄金、钻石、瓷器等贵重物品，玩家要想尽办法通过贸易路线把这些物品运回欧洲，但又要面对其他竞争对手可能挡在你的路径上；玩家可以挑战征服公海，并探索40个不同的城市、村庄等，享受冒险的乐趣。
玩家可以逐步建立个人的船队，建立连结到遥远国家的航线，并且注意对手的动态。玩家在游戏中，将可选择各式各样的运输与军用船只，像是小舟、帆船、护卫舰等，随着玩家势力逐渐壮大，玩家可以创造不同的船队，指定给他们具体的贸易路线，并且积极掌控重要港口、升级船只，以确保个人地位；玩家也可以雇用船舰的指挥官，指挥官将会学习新技能，并且增进船舰的能力。
然而，战争与冲突是无法避免的。当战争爆发时，玩家可以体会到即时策略的壮观海战，感受震耳欲聋的炮火声撕裂敌人的船只与船员等。玩家可以直接指挥所有船舰，也可以针对每个船舰下指令。
游戏支持多人连线，最多可8人线上对战，玩家通过打败对手可以提升个人在网络上的排名。
