Third album from Christian rock band Needtobreathe,Needtobreathe first began in 2000 by playing songs in front of mostly coffee house audiences at Furman University, where Bear was a standout wide receiver for the Furman Paladins football team. After graduation, Bear and Bo Rineheart and Joe Stillwell joined with Seth Bolt in 2002, releasing independent albums that were recorded in bassist Seth Bolt’s Plantation Studios. The Outsiders is slated for an August 25, 2009 release. Recorded from the end of 2008 through April 2009 with Jim Scott, John Alegia and Rick Beato, fans will be reintroduced to the versatility they knew from their previous album, The Heat. The Outsiders truly finds NEEDTOBREATHE coming into their own, seamlessly blending ambient, arena-ready soundscapes with a decidedly Southern sensibility
