Robbie Coltrane, star of ITV’s classic Cracker, leads the cast of brand new three-part drama, Murderland, on ITV1.
Coltrane stars alongside Sharon Small (Mistresses), Lucy Cohu (Becoming Jane), Amanda Hale and Nicholas Gleaves (Foyle’s War).
Murderland is an emotional and passionate thriller that tells a traumatic murder story through the eyes of three central characters: Carrie the daughter of the murdered woman, Douglas Hain, the detective in charge of the investigation and Sally the murder victim.
Still haunted by her mother’s murder, the adult Carrie cannot move on from the terrible unexplained events that occurred when she was a child and make a new life, until she uncovers the truth.
Murderland is a knife-edge thriller featuring themes of revenge, redemption and rough justice, with three different perspectives linking up to piece together the truth.
As the investigation unfolds, Carrie’s yearning to discover who murdered her mother becomes obsessive, bringing her closer to Hain. In the end Carrie holds the key to the killer - but the past may be better laid to rest when those you trust have the most to hide, and chillingly are now the people from whom you may have most to fear.
01x01 Carrie's Story
Carol is determined to find out who killed her mother fifteen years ago so that she can get married and move forward with her life. The episode goes back to when she was still a teenager and and the night of her mother's death before moving forward to the present time with her obsession to still find the killer.
01x02 Hain's Story
Carol wants some answers from DI Hain, who has to remember investigating the case fifteen years ago. Hain reveals information that Carol knew nothing about. Carol is able to convince Hain to re investigate the case with her in London.
01x03Carol's Story
With Hain's help Carol is finally able to discover the truth about what happened. Carol hopes she can reunite with the man she was going to marry now and move forward with her life.
