Marina & The Diamonds并不是一个乐队或者组合，而是来自威尔士年仅25岁的创作女歌手Marina Diamandis，她的父亲是希腊人，母亲是威尔士人，从小便在音乐上拥有写作的天赋。最终在2009年，华纳公司设立在英国的分厂牌679 Recordings为这位才女发行了第一首单曲Mowgli's Road，展现以独立摇滚为主要概念的流行作品。之后的两只单曲Obsessions和The Crown Jewels EP均有不错的表现。在今年1月份全新作品Hollywood的发行，无疑是为她的首张专辑造就了不小的声势。

The album was produced by Liam Howe, Richard Stannard, Pascal Gabriel and Greg Kurstin. The album was certified silver in the United Kingdom days before its release
