《寻宝人：黄金之梦》游戏描述的是Nelly 在她的卧室中醒来，想起今天父母去了城里，而自己要和弟弟Tommy独处到晚上。但Tommy去哪儿了？她急忙起床寻找Tommy，却发现家里大门紧锁，而门锁竟然坏了……玩家将与Nelly和Tommy一起，在《寻宝人：黄金之梦》中，寻找神秘地图，到达隐藏着的宝藏之岛。
