Part 1. What can DVD Slideshow Builder Standard Mode do for me?
DVD Slideshow Builder has two edit modes.
In Standard Mode is a photo management and presentation tool that combines together ease of use, creativity, professional styles and a wide variety of special decorations as well as various video formats to save as. It has very practical and beautiful pre-made styles, such as love, family, wedding, etc. Standard Mode also allows you to preserve and share your story by burning onto DVD disc. No matter you are a greenhand or an expert, Standard Mode will bring you the joy of creating! Don't hesitate and start to create professional stories now without learning curves!
In Advanced Mode is an easy to use, powerful DVD and Video authoring and burning platform. Starting with your digital photos or videos, it will provide you stunning and professional DVD or Video. With Advanced Mode, You could enhance your photos/videos, make amazing slideshows, share your creative work with friends and family, keep your beautiful memories forever. Try it and Enjoy! Advanced Mode is just as easy as following 1-2-3 to make outstanding and professional videos!
Part 2. Understanding User Interface
As you launched DVD Slideshow Builder, you will come to the Mode selecte page.
As you launched DVD Slideshow Builder Standard Mode, you will find four large tab buttons at the place of Menu bar of ordinary software. They are Photo Set, Style, Decoration and Create. Through these buttons, you are recommended to make your story step by step. In other words, you need only 4 steps to turn your original photos into stylish stories. Now, let us take a look at these tab buttons and find out what could be done under each tab window. Click each tab button image to go to corresponding page for more detailed instructions (Press "Backspace" key to turn back).
Add your photos and music, edit and organize them, as well as make background settings. Remember that all your photos and music files in your story are just represents of original files. All changes you make in Standard Mode will not affect your original files. However, if you have modify the original photo or music files using other programs, like Photoshop, the result will immediately take effect in your story in Standard Mode.
Preview and add style in this tab window. The styles will make your story smooth and animated while changing to next photo. Furthermore, they will endow your story with special characteristic, especially using "Theme" styles. For example, you can use several wedding styles in Theme category to make an eternal and memorable story and burn onto disc to save memory forever.
Decorate your story as you wish. Lots of built-in Clipart and Effect as well as your customized Text could be added to spice up your story in this tab window. Either Clipart or Effect will make your story blazing and totally different, not to mention the text which could be added together with plenty of text effects. Additionally, you can add intro&credit movie in this step.
Create your story into various formats of video in this step. You have following choices: Create DVD, Create Video for Device, Create General Video. Only few clicks are needed and simple on-screen instructions help you preserve and share your story.

To start the Advance Mode, click the Advanced Mode icon or Button of Mode Select Page. After you run the Advanced Mode, you will see the interface shown below:
User Interface
The application simplifies creating videos into only four steps. As you can see above, they are Slideshow, Menu, Preview and Create. You can create your DVD or videos step by step easily. However, you don't need necessarily to follow these steps. You can also click these buttons to go where you want and edit your slideshow. At the top right also locates two menus: File and Help.
Allow you to create slideshows, add photo, audio and video elements to slideshows, add transition and motion effects and more.
Configure Menu for your slideshow, with many beautiful pre-defined menu templates provided.
Preview slideshow you have made, if satisfied, go ahead to create, or not, turn back to edit.
In this tab, you are able to create your DVD or various formats of video for later using on computer or other Multimedia apparatus.
Slideshow Tab
The Slideshow tab window can be mainly divided into three panels. They are Slideshow Explorer, Preview Windows and Storyboard/Timeline. Information about these panels will be introduced next.
Slideshow Explorer
Slideshow Explorer locates in the slideshow dropdown menu. You are allowed to create as many as 32 slideshows. You can also delete or rename a slideshow or pop up a dialog window to set parameters for the selected slideshow in Slideshow Explorer.
Preview Window
At the top right of the interface, there is a real-time preview window. You can peek your slideshow at any time as you like.
Storyboard and Timeline views
At the bottom of the Interface, there is a panel you can organize your subtitles, photos, audios, videos, effects, etc. At the top right of this panel, there are two tabs you can select from. Click the corresponding button to enter the other mode.
In Storyboard view, you can work with your photos and their transition and motion effects, as well as the buttons of adding text, background music and other media elements.
Timeline view gives you the most intuitive display of subtitle, photos, videos, background music and records in the current project. With the timecode increment in formats hours: minutes: seconds, you are enabled to manage all kinds of elements in exact time (with the precision of one sixtieth seconds).
Click the above tab to enter the Timeline view shown below.
Menu Tab
DVD menu is a very important part of DVD disc. With a DVD menu, you can conveniently and quickly jump to the desired slideshow and enjoy yourself in your colorful photos or videos. Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder Delxue Advanced Mode supply a lot of menu templates for you to choose. Furthermore, you can customize the DVD menu for your own. In addition, decorating DVD menu is also available in this tab, including adding background, changing frame style and control buttons, alignment, etc. All these menu decorations are done within the work area.
Preview Tab
In the Preview Tab window, you can preview the total DVD before proceeding to Create Tab. For better navigation, Control Panel is provided and locates at the right side of the Preview Window.
Note: Menu function is only available for DVD. So if you have chosen other video formats as the output format before coming to Preview Tab, you can't preview the menu. However, you are still able to press the number buttons to play specific slideshow.
Create Tab
Create Tab window is used to output your slideshow as Disc or other Video formats. After selecting output formats and configuring the right settings and options, you can create various video formats freely and quickly.
