I was in need of video cables for mi kid's HDTV, it is a small 15" HD set connected to a DVD he uses to watch his movies.
You can tell these are quality cables just by looking at them, they are gold plated (they are supposed to deliver with better quality) and color coded so you can easily tell which cable goes where. They are well constructed and fit tight to the TV connectors, which makes it difficult for them to disconnect when moving the TV or the like.
After installed, I did see an improvement on the quality of the image, while my kid may not know the difference between SD and HD, his movies looked better with these cables than with the regular ones included with the DVD. As I have stated in other reviews, in my experience I have seen that the brand makes little difference when getting HD cable components. Amazon Basics deliver great quality for a pretty good price. Plus, they offer documentation with hints (something I had not seen with other suppliers) as well as a PDF file that contains the warranty information if needed.

Looking for inexpensive component cables? Part of Amazon's AmazonBasic line these component cables do what they say on the box - they deliver high quality images from a well constructed cable. If you still have peripherals that don't have HDMI then component despite being analog is the next best thing. Keep in mind there's no audio carried here, just video so you'll need some other cable to carry your audio.
Highly recommended - the simple packaging (a plain cardboard box) belies a great cable. Don't spring vast sums of money on those litigious M*NST*R C*BL* folks - this all the cable you need.
