I daily work with training early childhood education teachers. They are always assigned a mentor teacher, however, I feel the specifics listed in this proposal would give the mentor teacher a more detailed plan to follow.
This text is designed as a ?strategy guide? for use by preschool teachers, particularly Head Start teachers, and the more experienced teachers who mentor them. The product would serve as a concrete text linking the initiatives contained in the No Child Left Behind Act, the Good Start, Grow Smart early childhood initiative, and Head Start professional development requirements.
I like the detailed organization of the material. I like the idea of doing case studies and small group discussions for sharing. The journal assignments and hands-on approach to learning is definately a plus and will ensure that participants objectives are met.
