As a comprehensive text, the book maintains clarity by explaining the profound ideas of linear algebra in simple terms. Theorems, corollaries, properties, definitions, proofs, and worked examples are presented in a brief and easy-to-understand style so that students can fully comprehend how mathematics works.
Features(1)Written and organized for non-mathematics majors with focus on the algebra of matrix, linear equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a matrix, matrix diagonalization, and quadratic forms.
(2)Easy for instructors to customize for courses ranging from 35 to 72 teaching hours.
(3) Lucid and brief proofs are provided for difficult theorems to help students better grasp the theory and concepts behind them.
(4) Includes more than 450 questions that are carefully categorized at different levels of difficulty (basic and tough).
(5)Supplementary exercises are also provided for further practice. This allows instructors to select exercises according to the abilities and competencies of their classes.作者简介Yuma Ju is a professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Tsinghua University, Beijing.
