短袖T恤品牌简介The brand name SKECHERS originated from a south California slang, which means “energetic youngsters”. SKECHERS designs, develops and markets a diverse range of footwear for men, women and children. Today, SKECHERS is a 2 billion dollar global lifestyle brand with an annual 80 million pairs sold worldwide in over 100 countries and territories.
Internationally, SKECHERS sells its products to department and specialty stores via subsidiaries in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the Benelux region, Brazil and Chile, as well as a joint venture with China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. SKECHERS also has an extensive network of global distributors that sell its product in over 100 countries and territories, and have opened retail stores in key metropolitan cities around the world.
SKECHERS ended May, 2010 with more than 100 stores in China with 10 flagship stores located in Shanghai and Guangzhou. In Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, SKECHERS expanded to 57 POS up to May, 2010, including 11 concept stores in the shopping districts of Olympian City, Diamond Hill, Tuen Mun, Causeway Bay, Tsuen Wan, Central Kowloon and others. Father and son, Robert and Michael Greenberg started SKECHERS in 1992. Initially offering only utility boots and suede skate shoes, the company has since diversified to include thousands of styles. In 1999, SKECHERS became publicly listed at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: SKX).
For the brand’s expansion into Mainland China, in October 2007, SKECHERS signed a joint venture with Luen Thai Enterprises, a Hong Kong based company belonging to close to US$1 billion group. The following year, the joint venture expanded into Hong Kong, Macau and key parts of Southeast Asia through another joint venture with Onwel Group. This partnership continues to assist SKECHERS expansion further into the markets of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
