Alice Sara Ott was born in Munich in 1988 and received her first piano lessons when she was four Since then, the German-Japanese pianist and student of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Salzburg Mozarteum has won numerous important competitions and appeared in concert halls and at festivals in Europe, Japan and the USA.
1995 Wins first prize with distinction at Germany's "Jugend Musiziert" contest
1997 Wins first prize at the International Steinway Piano Competition in Hamburg and Berlin
1998 Wins first prize at the Vittoria Caffa Righetti International Music Competition where she also receives a special award for achieving the highest number of points in the contest
1999 Wins first prize at the International Steinway Piano Competition in Hamburg
2000 Wins first prize at the Grotrian-Steinweg Competition in Braunschweig.
2001 Wins first prize at the Karl Lang Competition in Munich
2002 Youngest finalist at Japan's Hamamatsu International Piano Academy Competition where she wins the "Most Promising Artist Award"; first prize at Germany's "Jugend Musiziert" contest; youngest prizewinner with distinction at the Salzburg International Summer Academy
2003 Wins first prize and mayor's special award for achieving the highest number of points at the Bach Competition in Köthen
