Thomas Blood's career in public affairs began in 1979 with the Carter White House, where he served with dis-tinction as an Analyst on the President's Commission on
the Accident at Three Mile Island. After receiving his law degree from Emory University in Atlanta, where he was named to the National Order of the Barristers, Tom returned to his home state of Virginia where he was selected as the first Governor's Fellow in the Old Dominion, serving directly under the Hon. Charles S.
Robb.
Over the last two decades, Tom has served on five pres- idential campaigns. During the last election cycle, he made numerous media appearances, providing political commentary on CBS Up to the Minute, C-Span, The Bloomberg News Network, as well as countless talk radio shows. Additionally, Tom's writings have been featured in USA Today, Los Angeles Times, and Entertainment Weekly. In his spare time he has managed to author sever-al books including State of the Union and Madam
Secretary--The Biography of Madeleine Albright. China Card is Tom's first novel.
